This question has been at the core of my journey and has presented itself repeatedly during some uncomfortable transitions. It’s a question that is born of the intention to live a purpose-driven life and is grounded in the desire to consciously generate opportunities for healing. It is a question that continues to facilitate my personal healing (growth) journey and has allowed me to connect with others who have been reflecting on the same question or the many aspects of it. These connections have provided me with much needed support as I allowed myself to consider why we are, how this informs what, who and how we are in general. It is a question that has required that I go inwards in order to understand what I see and experience outwardly. It is a question that has allowed me to find my root, my centre, my stable base and foundation and use this as a daily launching pad towards feeling and doing better.
It is my intention that this blog space become a platform for people to explore what their fundamental needs might be and how they could potentially meet these needs at their root or spiritual core/source. It is my hope that this question will facilitate much-needed conversations about how we can heal ourselves and through this, heal each other. I hope we will begin to talk about how we can live lives of ease and comfort despite transitions and experiences that may be unexpected, uncomfortable and at times unbearable. You are invited to write this question down in your journal, notebook, notice board or screen-saver and allow yourself to ponder this as a critical step towards finding your centre. You are welcome to share any thoughts or insights with the Root_Fed community that is slowly growing and anchoring itself. I have asked those who I have connected with, that share this consciousness to contribute as guest bloggers. I hope their posts will provide us with some comfort, motivation and support as we progress on our individual and collective journeys.
So, what does it mean to you to be fed from the root? How might you obtain nourishment from the source? How might this shift in perspective change your life and facilitate your healing? I invite you to join the Root_Fed community and contribute to the growth of a space that recognises the inherent wisdom nature holds and encourages exploration of self (and others) as an expression of that wisdom.
